About the Project
Pet Standards is a German pet brand offering high-quality supplements and products designed for the well-being of cats and dogs. Founded by Jono, the brand was passionate about quality but struggled to compete in a saturated market. Their Shopify site looked beautiful but barely any traffic was coming in organically, and visibility across Germany was close to zero.
The Challenge
Pet Standards had strong branding and products, but no real SEO strategy. Here’s what we uncovered:

Keyword Visibility
Less than 5% of their pages were ranking for relevant pet-related search terms. Most product and collection pages were invisible on Google.de.

German Localization for SEO
While the site targeted the German market, the metadata, keywords, and content were not optimized for native German users or local search behavior.

Slow load speeds, unoptimized image formats, missing structured data, and broken internal links were all hurting crawlability and rankings.

Optimized 30+ pages with custom German meta titles/descriptions, H1/H2 structure, image alt-tags, internal linking, and schema markup improving site-wide SEO score from 58 to 92.
